Compared to the same period last year, there was an increase of more than 100% in Apple Pay transactions.

Cook went on to say that the company was right on schedule to reach 10 billion transactions with Apple Pay during the current calendar year. This service is presently available in 30 global markets, and they expect to go live in 10 more before the end of the year.

Starting in the middle of this month, the totally new Apple TV app will gather all the various ways to watch and discover movies, shows, sports news and other programmes in a single app, regardless of whether an iPhone, Apple TV, iPad, smart TV or Mac is used.

Cook added that, from this autumn, Apple TV+ will become the new home for the planet’s top creative storytellers – offering movies, exclusive shows and documentaries.

A while ago, the firm also announced the first global game subscription service for desktop and mobile devices.

Cook concluded by saying that with more than 100 new games without any tracking or ads, respect for user privacy and zero additional purchases, Apple has created “a service for players of all ages, kids to teens to adults and one that families can enjoy together.”
